Nikon D800 and D800E pre-orders

This page tracks pre-orders for the Nikon D800 and D800E full frame DSLRs. Check the latest update and the table below for the latest stock status. For more on the D800, check its list of completed reviews. No completed reviews for the D800E yet…

Latest Update: September 28, 2012 at 12:33am ET – D800E finally in-stock for $3300 at Amazon by Amazon itself… The NewEgg product pages say “discontinued” but the cameras are obviously not discontinued. Rather, it appears to be a confusion in the way the NewEgg product pages update when the cameras are out of stock… If buying at Amazon, you can also get a free 16GB Extreme SDHC and $200 Training Credit. Simply add to cart and price will be adjusted at the top right corner of the Amazon Checkout page. This promotion ends 10/31/12. This new promotion is optionally stackable with the $200 combined purchase instant rebates on the 24-70 and 70-200 lenses… If you want to rent the camera to see if it works for you, it is now available for rental at Borrow Lenses. We added to the table below with (RENT) in parenthesis… The RED Card at Target may save you 5% off (Target’s own store credit card)… See Google Search for list of authorized dealers

      Update to my message above.

Just received an email from Amazon stating that Nikon D800E was shipped today for delivery for tomorrow (June 28th). So the estimate was almost dead on. Can’t wait for delivery.

I pre-order D800 from http://www.abesofmaine.com on March 11, they never ship me anything.
so I order it from http://www.kenmorecamera.com yesterday night and they ship out today morning(ups). waste my time and store which never in stock.

Target does not have in stock, the website is misleading. Had to cancel my order when they changed it to 2- 4 week delivery. Ordered form best buy using the phone, I’ll let you guys know it they renege on their “in stock” promise (talkiong to a real person).

thanks for the update! new releases of hard to find cameras are unfortunately still chaos and disorder in 2012!

Got it from best buy! The camera is nothing short of amazing. Pic quality is simply superb. No need to worry about RAW image size the JPGS are incredible (though still quite hefty). Best camera ever period.
